Martin’s SIGMA SD10 page

Why do I see "red stripes" on some photographs from my SIGMA SD10 ?

It tends to occur (or at least is noticeable) in low light, not just at high ISO speeds. I have tried processing the raw image in Adobe PhotoShop as well as SIGMA PhotoPro but the result is the same.

For an example, see the following

RGB
Red, green and blue channels

Notice the reddish stripe across the bottom of the image ?

Looking at each of the three colour channels, the red channel appears to have a stripe, the blue looks "noisy" and green looks OK

The original X3F file (3.56MB) is available.

Do you think the sensor is faulty ?

Is the software processing the raw image incorrectly ?

Any ideas how I can process the image to remove this anomaly ?

Any (helpful) suggestions to my email
